Heather Hilson
OALA and CSLA Associate
Landscape Architect
Hailing originally from Colorado, Heather completed her Master of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Calgary. Prior to joining ground cubed, she worked for two years in Atlantic Canada as a landscape designer. Heather’s design interests include ecologically driven placemaking, smart and multi-modal streets, parks and recreation master planning, and stormwater management. Heather’s design philosophy is informed by her belief that the built environment should be inclusive, resilient, and adaptive to changing social and environmental conditions.
Prior to pursuing landscape architecture, Heather completed a Master of Arts (Honours) in Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh with a focus on landscape archaeology. As a Registered Professional Archaeologist, she has extensive experience in cultural resource management and particularly enjoys designing within heritage landscapes and sites. And she’s awesome.
