Justin Bhatia

Landscape Designer

Since starting at ground cubed, Justin has proven himself to be a creative and resourceful junior designer who supports senior designers on a variety of projects. These include large-scale transportation infrastructure, inclusive playgrounds, community parks planning, multi-family residential, urban design, and urban agriculture projects.

Justin brings a dependable, creative energy to the projects he works on. His graphic design sense, efficiency, and attention to detail make him a reliable aid in the production of drawings from concept through to detailed design. He is a strong communicator graphically, verbally and in writing, and his skills include hand-drawing, drafting, 3D-modelling and presentation graphics.

In 2019, Justin received his Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Calgary. Throughout his studies he received numerous awards for his commitment to design excellence, including being named a 2019 Landscape Architecture Foundation Olmsted scholar– an award that recognizes outstanding student leadership.

Justin believes in the power of design to make the world a better place. He is passionate about celebrating Alberta’s lush and varied landscapes, ecologies, and cultural histories through context-based place making.
