Client | Alberta Environment and Parks

Status | Completed 2019

Project Type | Facility Renovation

The Glennfield Facility began a life-cycle assessment report of the facilities in Fish Creek Provincial Park, including group use shelters and washroom facilities.  The team realized through the stakeholder engagement process that a greater context of landscape was required to assess concerns of safety and maintenance within a sensitive environment with high use demands from the public.

The resulting Glennfield Facilities includes the group use and washroom structure coordination, new washroom facility prototype, upgraded landscape, park amenities, site grading and bridges over sensitive areas.

The team worked closely with Alberta Parks to gain knowledge about habitat and sensitive areas, as well as use patterns and maintenance regimes within the park. Our team collaborated closely with internal stakeholders from the province to coordinate the final design and best practice for the site, influencing sequencing of the final construction schedule.
